Stockton Maintenance Group, Inc. was incorporated in 1994 by its founder Douglas Riordan. Since then we have grown into a regional provider of quality facility services such as janitorial and maintenance services.
SMG is quality orientated. We spend more time and effort on management and supervision than most companies in the industry. We believe this is the greatest difference between our company and others. We pride ourselves on our quick same-day response to problems or emergencies that may arise. Our company wide complaint ratio averages less than 2%. This means 98%+ of our customers are satisfied week after week! Cleaning issues are resolved right away, without excuses.
SMG has over 16 years experience in the maintenance industry in the South and Central Florida area. We are a regional, medium size company with just over $6.0 million (year ending 2008) in sales (and over 350 employees). We provide Janitorial and Maintenance services to a large number of facilities in Central Florida, South Flordia, South West Florida, The Space Coast and The Treasure Coast. We also provide all our services (including preventive maintenance and janitorial) to clients on the west coast of Florida from Hillsborough (Tampa) to Lee (Naples) County and in between. We are a financially strong company with the working capital and other resources to properly undertake any increase in demand for our services. We are also familiar with businesses that require a “higher” level of service. Nightly, we clean over 550 different office buildings, bank branches and headquarters buildings. A background check is made on any potential SMG employee.
SMG specializes in restoration work for carpet, upholstery, grout, marble and stone, awnings, and regularly engages in contract services to clean carpeting, strip and/or scrub and wax floors. We budget to use environmentally safe chemicals that are proven to work well and take pride in the fact that we act responsibly towards the environment and our employees. SMG maintains trained fabric cleaning crews and hard flooring service crews. We reinvest a significant portion of our profits in the research and development of new methods and chemicals, as well as training of our personnel. SMG is focused on quality while always concerned with cost effectiveness.
